Elle Opi
Female Boxer / Terrier Mix 3 years old
Elle is an amazing young dog... she is loyal, loving, very smart and a super.. really super athlete! She has been with us for a while due to the fact that she is too careful a watch dog! Elle needs to be in an experienced home because shes a lot of DOG!! Smart, super agile, and wants leadership!! Elle is very protective and doesn't warm to strangers quickly. Shes almost TOO GOOD a watch dog!! It breaks all of our hearts that she hasn't found her forever home because we know her as the loving, sweet girl that she truly is. She gets incredibly joyful when she senses that shes made you happy & she sometimes expresses her happiness by jumping in the air (about shoulder height!) and twirling around... and around YOU.. she does this 3 or 4 times and then lands on her 4 feet and belly looking up at you as if to say NOW WHAT?! She is so much FUN! Today Elle learned ROLL OVER & we were both so excited she couldn't do it enough .. although once on her back with belly splayed wide open she kinda wanted to hang there for some serious belly rub action! Naturally I could not resist..no one could! We re so head over heels for this girl! She tries her little heart out to make you happy & you can SO see just how much she LOVES knowing you are pleased with her! Nike
Italian Greyhound / Terrier Mix
What a SPUNKY, funny, ENTERTAINING CHARACTER this little guy is!! When Nike first got off the van he was a little bit aloof & had this sort of – been there, done that, you seem nice – but how long are YOU gonna stick around for…..kinda attitude…. held nothing against us, but didn’t feel he could quite open up and had only himself to rely on…. he didn’t want to become too attached only to be hurt again (it’s not easy being older and having to keep opening up & being vulnerable to people, only to have them move-on…only to wind up all by your lonesome again…. ) BUT….we started showing Nike that we were here to help him! That we would NEVER leave him! And that WE WERE GOING TO HELP HIM FIND HIS FOREVER HOME and that we were confident the RIGHT HOME is searching for him, just as he is for them! And SURE ENOUGH……he’s started to open up and reveal his true LOVABLE SOUL! :oD
He LOVES to go for his morning & afternoon walks – getting out of his comfy bed and coming right over, jumping lightly with his two front paws to help us out in getting the leash on….as soon as we get outside he makes sure to relieve himself (it’s not easy holding your bladder for so long sometimes!) – and then he starts spritely prancing down the driveway, enjoying the fresh air & getting those joints moving again :o) He comes over for another quick ‘good morning friend’ and away we go! He LOVES to explore in the GRASS & greet his friends on the walk…. he currently lives on a horse farm…heaven or what?!? – and has a few rounds to make as we walk along saying hello to his some-what larger then he, 4-legged horse friends :o) …he has no fear, & loves to give (& get) a quick little nose nuzzle :o) .......(click here for more)

Clancy
Affectionate Plott Hound/Am Staff Mix

OK now that we've met this fine boy we see that Clancy is a happy angel.. pure love, sweet affectionate.. he uses his front paws like hands in the cutest way! He doesn't think about his ears and soon after you meet Clancy you don't think about them either except that the missing parts make room for that halo to set down on his dear head! Clancy is a sweet kind lovable soul!! What a really great guy! He was just that way coming off the transport van Saturday morning after a LONG ride up north.. Come and meet him soon.. pictures just don't do it.. you have to feel Clancy, be with him.. let him love you.. GREAT HAPPY..very loving DOG.. he is in a play group with Tate the great and Shine and ..some others.. Clancy loves to play with friendly dogs!! Clancy also can hug! He cups his front paws around you and HUGS you!!! You feel hugged too.. Loving Border Collie/Lab Mix male 2 y 60lbs
Comet is a big guy who is a little shy at first.. he needs a little extra time to relax and show his true self with lots of new people around.. but Comet is full of love and play! What a wonderful character he has and he is a gorgeous dog!!! He has a super shiny black coat and Border Collie markings on his lovable face! Theres so much more to this charmer than you will see when you first visit him.. he is very smart .. very trainable . he really wants to please and loves to learn new things.. Comet has had many girlfriends.. even though he's big strong fella he plays really well with even finer boned playful dogs.. His current BFF is Winnie the WONDERFUL.. they play and play and play and play.. they roll around on the ground "mouth wrestling" and after that they get up and case one another around until they are completely out of breath .. then go back to rolling around.. Comet is a really sweet dog who wants to feel safe and led.. he needs some reassurance but he has a heart of gold and so many endearing little "isms" . When everyone is inside for the night as we glance down the hall we always see dear Comets front paws sticking out under his door.. the only ones on the long hallway..its the same in the mornings. its Comet way of reminding you hes waiting for you!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE this gorgeous boy!! He will sit down beside you and have as much of him as he can in contact with your leg.. right up to that handsome face leaning on your thigh.. looking up into your eyes with so much love you'd give him anything!! Comet is a55 lb 2 y old Lab/ Border Collie mix & is AWESOME!! He will be an amazing dog to share life with.. hes got everything you could ever want in a dog!
Petey
zany 7 fun 7mos male Terrier Mix
Well Petey is actually the identical Petey from Little Rascals!! His personality seems to be much the same also.. a clownish, lovable part of the gang!! We are tempted to draw a circle around his other eye..!!! Petey is ready to get out and explore the world! Enough being kenneled.. we will teach him some manners and on the leash out on walks.. and then post updates and more pics.. this is a fun little pup! He is fast friends with everyone!! ADOPTED!!!! Winnie is an absolute sweetheart this little girl is! She first caught our eye when we were watching a video sent from the shelter for one of our other guys - Camo - that we rescued. Even though she was tucked away in the side of the shot - you couldn't miss her happy-go-lucky, friendly, interested in what was going on, full-of-life personality! Once we inquired for more information we were pleasantly pleased to learn she was a real sweetheart :o) Of course we couldn't do anything else but rescue this little soul! Brit is a sweet girl who is quite active and playful! :o)
Queenie
Beautiful and regal female Lab Mix
Queenie just arrived in NY on our last transport and she is so lovely! She is super sweet, gentle.. very friendly.. her coat is sleek and glossy.. so soft .. just like her, soft, sweet energy! Someone must have treated this dog with kindness because Queenie seems to think the world is a good place.. she greets everyone with a calm happy hello.. We had her wellness check up yesterday and she was solid gold.. she gladly let the vet work around her and was very friendly & cooperative and perfectly even tempered.. Queenie is a true sweetheart of a dog! We will be mixing her in with play groups and spending more time getting to know her.. however, we are confident all reports will be super great and someone will scoop this prize of a dog up fast so if you are interested.. we urge you to submit your application ASAP! Queen is just about 2 yrs old.. and wonderful! :)

Happy boy Beagle Mix
ADOPTED!!!!!! Barney is a very sweet and friendly Beagle that we offered to rescue through our transport driver.. every so often she comes across a few special dogs and asks us to step in before the are PTS.. Well Barney is one of those special dogs.. hes a Beagle 1-2 years old.. we will have all his medical work done inc vaccinations and neutering.. We will post new pics and updates soon.. but do send in your application if you are interested. Barney is a LOVER!! Our ladies who care for him at our quarantine kennel say he is an "EXCELLENT LITTLE DOG.. very happy, friendly and very handsome! :)

ADOPTED!!!! Winston is a jolly Westie who celebrates every moment of every day! Winston is just turned 7 and has lived most of his life in a pack of Westies a bit older than he is.. all in their teens!! Winston knows how to get along... until recently when a household dog.. a big German Shepherd Dog decided he didnt want to play with poor Win!! Instead he scared th epoop out of Winston and now his dog Mom with a very sad heart decided dear cheerful Win deserves to live in a home where he feels safe .. Winston has only known HAPPY! Hes been loved dearly and very well taken care of! Winston loves other dogs, gets along with kids and cats and is house trained.. Winston is a LOVER.. a happy go lucky honey of a dog!

Isaac is a very Disney looking dog! In real life he is actually far cuter than any Disney dog you've seen! He is very friendly, cheerful, affectionate and playful in a silly goofy way! Isaac came from a home with three other dogs, all left at a kill shelter in South Carolina! We cannot imagine why as he and his friends are all over the moon adorable and as sweet and friendly as you could ever want!! Isaac is one of the most unusual looking dogs we've had! Hes got all kinds of unique thing going on.. from his silky soft, though wirey looking crazy coat of black and blond and silver hair.. his spotted blue tongue and the crazy strings of black hairs that dangle from the tip of his ears!! This dog is DEEEElightful! Isaac weighs about 25 lbs and is fairly young!

Male Doxie/Chihuahua mix Lover boy!
Bosley is a gentleman through and through.. & dapper as can be in his "grey flannel" coat with touches of taupe! We are crazy in love with this amazing little fellow! He is so cool looking with his silvery coat and soulful eyes.. Boss is a total MUSH.. lover boy!! He had his wellness exam and was an absolute saint for the vet.. just like he is for all of us! Boss man is a sweet and loving little dude who is looking for someone to be in love with.. He wants so much to be a best friend to someone.. constant companion.. He is pretty easy going though at the very start he was pretty unsure of the loud kennel and all the new sights and sounds and smells! Now he tootles along cheerfully .. following us pretty much anywhere happy as can be! Likes to ride in the car.. ADOPTED!!!! LIL red is the sweetest little girl on four petite and dainty legs.. super affectionate, cheerful and playful..Lil Red is a dreamy little red dog ! We often have difficulty loading pics onto the Petfinder site but do have better and recent photos on our web site so please check there.! Photos above are from when we pulled Lil from shelter in the south.. she arrived in NY this past Saturday.. and what a loving and delightful girl she is!! She actually looks like a big dog in miniature!! BUT her heart is a big dog heart!!! All love all the time.. shes got lovely soft eyes that melt your heart.. Miss Red is a very special young lady!!

ADOPTED!!!!! TJ is a very sweet and sensitive dog. He is wants to be friends and get lots of love. and give lots too! He needs reassurance and a kind touch.. TJ is super eager to please but needs to be treated gently and always with a cheerful tone! He blooms with kindness and the more you encourage him the more he opens up his delightful, sweet self! He is a wonderful dog with a heart of GOLD!! TJ deserves all the love in the world! We think earlier in life somewhere along the way he was misunderstood and perhaps treated unfairly .. he worries a bit in certain situations. ADOPTED!!!!! Meet Mighty JOE!!! He just arrived in NY this Saturday along with his mates, Lil Red and Boss Man.. Mighty is about 1- 2 years old.. soft and snuggly as can be.. Hes fairly confident, super friendly and full of life! Mighty went for his wellness exam today and was a VERY good boy! He let the vet do everything and not a peep out of him.. Mighty has mighty sweet eyes.. a way of gazing up at you that is most endearing and he cuddles into you in the sweetest way.. but he is a fiesty little guy too.. he loves to follow his nose out on the trail and poke it into everyones business.. nosy little dog that he is!! <<click here for more info>>

Tavish is a wonderful mix of things! Maybe Schnauzer and Chinese Crested?! He has a great face with huge melt your heart eyes.. his coat is silky soft though its has a wirey look and his legs are long and elegant! One of the cutest bits on him.. and there are many is his fabulous chocolate colored party ribbon/cotton tail tail!! Tavish loves to snuggle and cuddle.. far more than he cares about racing around with other dogs!! He is a people first dog.. at least thats what we've seen so far!! He has an endearing way of resting his head on your shoulder with his cute little snout tucked into your neck.. we all swoon when he does that!!! Tavish is about a year and weighs about 12 lbs
Oliver
Shih Tzu Mix
ADOPTED!!!!! This is the happiest little fellow you'll ever meet! Oliver is soooooo very sweet and playful and incredibly loving! Oliver arrived in NY on May 4th and is in foster because he has a slightly wobbly hind end but it does not impede on his wild and zany play style! We brought him to our vet who is a gifted diagnostician and the condition Oliver has is stable.. he doesn't really require any special treatment but since he uses his hind legs in a unique way he should run and play on grass. He scratched his nails to the quick on the concrete floor of the kennel poor little guy .. not that that bothered him either!! Oliver is happy wherever he goes! NOTHING seems to prevent Oliver from celebrating life with energetic expressions of JOY!!! On his first day with us we put him in the play yard with one of our most timid dogs and in seconds flat she caught some of Oliver's exuberance and was romping and playing just like Oliver!! She even jumped in our laps seeking love and affection.. ( a first!) just like Oliver!! There is a bit of magic to this little dog! Hes got the gift that gives and gives!!! Oliver is 2-3 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. WE HAVE A GREAT MANY APPLICATIONS FOR OLIVER SO WE MIGHT SOON BE CLOSING HIS AVAILABILITY!!

Meet Jack Pot .. He is a really adorable guy with a silky coat of black and white spots and dots.. super sweet and friendly boy about 2 years old.. He is a Corgi mix.. with something but we arent sure what! He's got goofy short legs and a hot dog shaped bod.. as you can see he has a very sweet face, full of love and contentment! Jack is an easy going guy.. he'll play when you want ..and chill when you want.. He is happy to cruise around.. sniffing his nosy nose all over.. checking out what everyone else is doing.. he always visits nicely with all the dogs that come to greet him! He is REALLY adorable when he gets silly and plays.. chasing balls and feeling frisky! Jack is an easy fit in any situation! He arrived in NY on May 4th so we will be posting updates and more pics as we spend more time with this fun and affectionate boy! Jack is about 11/2 - 2 years old and weighs about 30 lbs LOOK at that cute and happy face!! Thats exactly who he is!

Female Basset Mix VERY VERY friendly!
Miss Daisy is a very sweet girl.... SUPER DUPER FRIENDLY :) but in a mellow, laid back, easy going way.. Shes also playful and seems to get along with EVERYONE!!! Theres nothing shy about Daisy .. she has a certain confidence and comfort in herself and the world around her.. we think shed be a great therapy dog!! She a mix of Yellow Lab and Basset and is a bit of a chunky little monkey.. not plump at all.. just sort of compact .. stocky in the cutest possible way!!! Her coat is just like a Lab but she has faint spots scattered about.. Oh Daisy! Dear Daisy girl ..she is such a honey of a dog!! Daisy weighs approximately 4o lbs. and is about 1 year old.. a true sweetheart.. mellow, kind and oh so loving!!

ADOPTED!!!!! KIP .. What an adorable and loving little dog Kip is!! He is a sleek, petite and svelte boy with long graceful limbs.. his coloring is gorgeous.. bright white and deep coppery chestnut.. and his eyes .. gorgeous heart melting eyes are almost green! Kip is a lively and playful dog who absolutely adores to be loved on.. he is the best snuggly cuddle bug we've met! Kip has a way of endearing himself to you.. in your arms, one of his favorite places to be he will rest his precious little head on your shoulder, his darling little nose snuggled into your neck... OH MY its a move that makes you fall head over heels!! KIP is a lover!! Kip arrived this weekend (5/4) and even though we all feel like we've known him really well for a very long time.. we will post updates as we spend more time with this very special little doggie!!!
