We are switching up our categories from sizes, SMALL - MEDIUM - LARGE to temperament, general attitude toward people, various environments, situations and objects. Temperament is not generally a fixed or permanent thing .. in fact its inevitable that over time depending on influences such as their living situations!

These dogs are happy, get along types that assume everyone will like them! They tend to seek attention from their humans! Often thought of a goofy and sweet these dogs are usually the sort that do well in families with children and other dogs.
Confident dogs are generally brave and bold stalwart and rather fearless!! They tend to easily acclimate to and accommodate their handlers as their leaders. They are intrigued by the novel and enjoy sharing adventure with their humans

These dogs are generally fairly active, attuned & curious types that benefit by having an engaged human with inherent leadership qualities. These dogs usually enjoy having a job or two!
Fairly carefree, tend to be less insetting of attention from their human companions. More inherently into "parallel play" and truly enjoy companionship. Can be single minded and at ease negotiating their way in the world around them

Aggressive is a loaded term.. we prefer ASSERTIVE and there are many other words that one could use in lieu of the word such as enterprising, in-your-face, fierce, pushy, forward, truculent..There are many forms, levels and triggers of "aggression" This is a special category and one we have delved into deeply.

For the Love of Dogs "Homies"
Our Love Dogs "Homies"! All of these dogs have been on an unique journey since arriving here at Love Dogs.. each a little different then the other but resulting in the same.. they are not the easiest to adopt into your average pet dog home. Each of them has positively challenged us while we guide them, learn more about their behaviors and work to keep their lives happy and fulfilled. We call them the "Homies" because this is their home, for now.. very much like a sanctuary! Each of them have a bundle of unique qualities that narrows down their adopter pool. In truth, many people could successfully adopt one of our fabulous "Homies", but they do require a certain level of understanding and management. After you peel back a few layers, they show their true affectionate, loyal and happy selves! In the meantime, Love Dogs will be their home for as long as they need!
