Looking for a special home for sweet and sometimes sour Charlie boy!
Charlie is an almost 2 year old Cockapoo who has been with his owners since he was 8 weeks old. Charlie loves hanging outdoors during the day. Whether he's chasing tennis balls, rolling around with soccer balls or just sun bathing, Charlie definitely will ask to head outdoors if the weather is great. If it is raining…Charlie will stay inside instead but still will want to play! He is so easy to please and super fun to play with.

Charlie is fully house trained and has been since about 4 months old if not younger. He also is great at night but does not like to be crated. We keep him in a gated off area of the house overnight where he has plenty of space.

Charlie can be a bit moody at times., but hey, can't we all?! He takes medication daily for anxiety. He has a difficult time settling when there are noises anywhere around him.

When Charlie is resting, it is best not to go near him at all. We have this rule that we always let Charlie come to us, we never to go him! Especially when he's resting or has a toy/food/bone is his possession. He can be snappy even when he seems to be alert and looking to get pet. It is best to get about 8-10 feet from him and see if he wants to come to you. If not, then let him be.

Charlie is a cuddle bug and LOVES belly rubs in the morning. He also LOVES sitting in your lap. He doesn’t realize he’s not exactly lap size. If he does climb in your lap be sure not to make any sudden movements. He is startled easily in that position.

Although Charlie plays really well with children, because he can be unpredictable, Charlie should be in a home with no children. Charlie can get along well with dogs that he jives with but that would need to be worked out individually.

Charlie loves his chewy toys. He needs lots of chew toys and time to tear apart stuffies without being bothered. Night time is when he tends to need something to relax and chew.

He is not a big eater. He is on prescription food for sensitive stomachs. Every once in a while we will give him boiled chicken or ground beef as a treat if we see he hasn't eaten his dog food at either mealtime. He LOVES cheese! We sprinkle some on his food which helps but we also use it to trade for things he gets and guards like remotes. He really enjoys trying to change the channels on the TV.

Charlie is a wonderful quirky little dog looking for a right home environment that can pay attention and handle his needs. While he's oh so cute and teddy bear looking, Charlie has nipped people before and must have someone who understands how to manage his behavior. He is such a loving little dude and is SOOOO worth it!
