 Choosing An Effective, Qualified Trainer

  ~KIND~RESPECTFUL~EXPERIENCED~PATIENT~FOCUSED~ENTHUSIASTIC~OPTOMISTIC~OBSERVANT~HAPPY~
First consider  why you chose to share your life with your dog (s).. What did you envision? What are your goals are in seeking help from a  trainer. Consider how much time and effort.. AND CONSISTENCY you are able & willing to put into learning how to communicate with your dog,  what your dog interprets about your body language & then follow through with appropriate and fun training techniques your dog.

Its the responsibility of everyone who chooses to share their life with dogs to understand dogs language, basic etiquette, as well as a dogs needs (like exercise) to enrich the relationship & solve any problems that arise.. Dogs pretty much already know how to do everything you want to "train" them to do! You just want  to get them to do it when and how you ask him/her to!!
We believe all training should be reward based! Having worked with hundreds of dogs over many years we have found the overwhelming majority of dogs are easily trained by consistent positive reward! We LOVE clicker training and encourage EVERYONE to learn how to do it! Its fun and effective and every dog enjoys interacting with their pack!

We believe that you are always training your dogs whether you are intentionally doing so or not! Find a trainer who will explain how your behavior shapes your dogs behavior. Sometimes just bringing awareness to a situation makes a huge change for the better!! Your dog always deserves to be treated kindly and fairly.  Your trainer should be patient and able tocommunicate well with you and your dog..
MORE TO COME INCLUDING WHAT ALL THOSE LETTERS AND CERTIFICATIONS MEAN.. whats a "behaviorist" medications and MORE!!

First consider what your goals are in seeking help from a qualified trainer. Really think about how much time and effort.. AND CONSISTENCY you are willing to put into training your dog.. or perhaps put more clearly, in communicating effectively with your dog! We believe all dogs are essentially eager to get along and please their pack leaders.

Often its the humans failure to understand their dogs language & DOGGIE needs like exercise, that creates problems.. Dogs pretty much already know how to do everything you want to "train" them to do! You just want  to get them to do it when and how you ask him/her to!!
