This absolute angel of a dog wouldn't hurt a flea!! She's got nothin to prove and will do whatever it takes to disarm a situation!! She literally gets along with every dog.. & they all love her, even the rather selective dogs here want to hang with Cora!! We want to put her on staff here and make her a lifetime employee!!!
Sweetly tentative at times our adorable Miss Cora comes alive when she is in the company of dogs! With quiet older dogs she is quiet and calm.. when youthful playmates appear she mimics their joyful boldness! Cora adapts seamlessly to her environment and the energy of those in it!

Cora can be fearful in unfamiliar situations and then surprisingly confident in others! Out in the play yard with her buddies Cora is free as a bird.. full of wonder and play .. she is super fun!! Cora zips around the yard chasing one dog and then looking to get chased by another. She runs full speed without a worry in the world. Freedom is an amazing thing for all creatures big and small! Cora enjoys leashed walks as well. Moving forward and getting her nose busy calms her mind and brings her into the present moment.
Meeting new people for Cora is a work in progress.. she is curious and fairly trusting but like most young under socialized dogs she requires time to judge things and have it be her! When first meeting Cora and other dogs like Cora, it is best to completely ignore them. Even well intentioned attention like looking at them or leaning over to get a closer look is a very scary thing in their eyes. It's actually a pressure that ends up doing more harm the good. Cora is building relationships with our staff and is definitely learning to trust a fairly broad circle of new people.
Cora continues to gain confidence and has learned to expect the world around her will be gentle with her. She has become a far more relaxed doggie than when she began her chapter at LOVE DOGS! She is especially free and and at ease when out on walks. Initially she preferred walks with other dogs but now she also truly enjoys the special shared time of having her human buddy all to herself. Its incredibly endearing when she turns her pretty face up to check in with her handler as if to say.. isn't this great?! Cora loves being in nature, she has a busy nose and a curious mind! Cora smiles most of the time when outdoors! Its like she is able to fearlessly fill out her doggie-ness!! Cora has time and time again shown us that she is a lovely sweet and social girl with all dogs.

Recently Cora has had a couple of "sleep overs" at her already adopted fellow LOVE DOGS rescue dogs home .. she fit in seamlessly! She walked through the front door and was warmly greeted by her fellow canine pals! It was a time for celebration!! Everyone was delighted by her visit ( inc Cora!) She happily ate her dinner went out into the fenced yard to sniff about with her 4 buddies and slept the whole night in the human bed with her fellow dogs.. and human friend!!! She was a delightful guest! And her joyful greeting TJ on the following morning was incredibly touching!!!
