Daphne
bassett mix | 33 lbs | 2-3 years old | female
Daphne and her sister Daisy arrived to us on our last transport! They really enjoyed their first day here at the farm... Both are curious, friendly and adorable... They each have the funniest snouts.. a bit sloth-like in that the top extends an unusually longer distance beyond the lower .. We've seen a great many firsts with our rescues and this unique muzzle structure is definitely a first for us!! Its a charming and almost cartoonish feature.. They could probably become famous YouTube sensations!!! Mix that piece with their long and low confirmation.. big soulful eyes and expressive tails and we do see cartoon characters in the making!
Daphne arrived quite attached to Daisy.. almost like Daisy was her safety blanket! Over the last few days we have mixed them in with other dog pals and while Daisy is off and running with her larger social circle.. Daphne is enjoying her other pals but still seeks out Daisy.. Our goal is to continue helping Daphne to form and fully enjoy new friendships and the good news is we have a team of happy canine mates to help us.. Our social butterfly PIP is an AWESOME help.. he is so good at reading cues.. Daphne feels safe with him.. she is a sweet, soulful and for now still somewhat in search of her Daisy "blanket".. Every day is a freer day in which Daphne gains more and more confidence going solo and takes more and more pleasure in being with her new doggie pals!
