Precious lady Farrah comes to us from Mount Vernon Animal Shelter after she was surrendered there by her owners after years of being in their care. They said they were too busy to care for her any longer. Well.. their loss is our gain! We are so in love with this sweetie.
Farrah is light on her feet and incredibly agile. She trots and prances like a graceful deer walking through high grass. Her calm presence and energy automatically puts you at ease. How could someone give up such an easy little doll? Anyway, Farrah is remarkably easy. She has not had one accident indoors, loves to go on walks so long as the weather permits and will cuddle up in your lap for some snuggle time. She is so relaxed and never missed the opportunity for a nap in the middle of the day!
Farrah has some skin issues that we are addressing with the vet and does seem to be a bit sensitive when touched on her back or sides so we avoid touching her in those areas. She enjoys soft pets under her chin and sitting with you in good company. Farrah has lived in a home her whole life and certainly know what the rustle of a potato chip bag means LOL! When eating she will be right under foot with her big beautiful eyes waiting for a piece of her share.
Farrah is currently scheduled for her spay surgery and she also has some mammary tumors that need to come out. This is an uncomplicated surgery and we are expecting an uneventful, easy recovery.
Farrah seems to get along well with the other dogs however she is relatively uninterested in interacting. We often have her on walks and hanging out with the other Littles but when they go to play with her she simply backs away. We do think she could live happily alone or with another dog so long as the dog does not bother her!
We recommend Farah go to a home with children 14 and up due to her sensitivity when being touched on her back.
The sweet girl is the most perfect companion for a calm household looking for an easy and happy go lucky dog to share their home with!
