Gandi
Male / 6 Years old / 18 lbs
Gandi is a delightful spunky little chi guy that was originally surrendered to a southern shelter along with 5 other chihuahuas. He got adopted into a loving home about two years ago and was recently returned to us due to personal changes in his previous owners life.
When he first arrived back to us last week after two years in his home, he was rightfully confused.. he seemed to recognize us as a bit but was reserved and cautious. Way back when we knew Gandy pretty well, we knew him to be a bit bashful with new comers, at times growly, so we weren't all too surprised! It didn't take long for him to get into our routine and start trusting us again.

With his trust, this little guy begins to put on the charm!! He comes alive like a little puppy who has finally found their way! Bubbly and playful, Gandalf has a stack of oversized plush toys in his pen that he takes turns playing with! It is an awesome transformation.. to watch a once untrusting dog become loose and playful!
Right now Gandi days are filled with positive experiences only! Playgroups with his buddies Hopper, Navy and Ollie.. long walks around the farm property and tours into the barn to explore all the wondrous horse smells! Gandy is so affectionate and loving to those on his inner circle.. often jumping in our laps and rubbing on us like a cat for attention!

He is an insecure little guy, especially so with unfamiliar people.Give him time and space and greeting on his terms. Gandy is relaxed and so happy sharing time and affection with family of mates, he's a whole different character in familiar settings with established friends. He has always enjoyed and felt secure with the company of dogs and needs a home that can provide a reasonable amount of certainty! Comings and goings of strangers will cause him to withdraw!
