Our mission is to give the commonly overlooked "underdogs" a chance ... dogs that for a variety of reason(s) require more time ... more observation, more understanding & positive experiences,  more socialization & confidence..  some simply are simply in need of medical attention  (often expensive care not normally in the budget of rescue groups intent on saving as many dogs as they can) Our rewards are many, small and large victories that include drawing in some of the most inspiring adopters, supporters and health care providers!

For the LOVE of HORSES

Part of the magic here has to do with the integrity of our mission. Our combined efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals stem from a foundation of respect, kindness, clear intention and a humble desire to learn from every animal in our care.
Our rescue is located on the grounds of a serene and magnificent, private horse farm in Westchester County NY.  Not only does the farm provide a sanctuary for homeless dogs it also provides sanctuary for special equines in need.

Dogs in Need of Medical Care

Yoshi and Alvin are both mature dogs (8+ years old) and are heart worm positive. UGH ..Their age and current heart condition make their treatment protocol a little more involved in terms of testing, monitoring and screening . They will both require chest x-rays, echo-cardiograms, multiple visits to our cardiologist and close monitoring for each. UPDATE!
