Jackson, sometimes known as DJ, is as handsome as they come! Just look at his gorgeous markings and big, deep brown eyes, short nubbed tail… simply captivating!! Jackson is an absolute love who is full of life and fun loving energy. He's a bouncy, witty fellow and greets his human friends with excitable wiggles and all around adoration as he leans his entire body into yours! His nub tail causes a full butt wiggle that is to die for! Jackson is a fabulous mix of “outgoing with a keen eye for adventure “while having the ability to settle down into a total lap dog!

We think Jackson is a Jack Russell maybe mixed with dachshund… he has attributes that are similar to both breeds! He’s got the zippy, bold, confident terrier side of the Jack Russell. Which is especially apparent when Jackson is out for a walk! This boy likes to go where he likes to go and he’ll let you know it! If he wants to go over and smell that tree, he will pause, stare at you and slightly tug sideways to get to the tree! With a little “come on, Jackson.. we are going this way!” Encouragement, he happily follows after to continue on the path! Jackson is a foodie, too! This makes him super fun and easy to trick train!
The dachshund side comes out when things quiet down.. Jackson becomes so soft, cuddly and affectionate! In full contentment, he’ll perch himself on your lap and simply enjoy being near. Jackson surely gets some confidence from his people. If there is ever a moment where he is unsure, he will come running over for reassurance.
On the leash, Jackson is polite doesn’t pull at all! While he explores all around, he hop from one smell to the next. Taking his time to breathe in deep and gather as much info as his olfactory senses will take in! On one of our walks, he met Ralphie! One of our calmest, most balanced pitties. Jackson and Ralphie has a wonderful, loose and happy hello then we went on our walk together!
Jackson gets along pretty well with other dogs. We have figured out that he tends to gravitate towards dogs that are larger then him. We have mixed and matched him with a bunch of different sizes and types of dogs. Jackson can sometimes bully the smaller ones so we keep him with the mid-size doggies like Brown, Chrissy and Janet!
