   Jeff is a play-a-holic!! HE LOVES TO PLAY FETCH anywhere and anytime. He typical Border Collie style delivers the to your feet , if you're standing and your lap if sitting. He knows everything a human will ask for him to do before they'll hurl the ball into the air.. sit, lay down, step back... HE WAS BORN TO PLAY BALL! He thinks his people pals love it as much as he does and you begin to think he pushes beyond his own very obvious exhaustion to make you happy! He is a team player!
  Recently he has mastered the POP ball toss! He knows the word, he knows the way an arm moves when tossing a ball upward! Jeffrey prepares himself and 90% of the time catches it before it even hits the ground! That boy leaps unto catch it and boy does he love it!! Initially he caught it after one bounce and loved the adulation so much hr figured out how to get it even before it lands!! WOO HOO JEFFREY!!!!
 Jeffrey tirelessly plays "hall & wall ball" in the house! He is often in the office with his cute sidekick Roxie. Shy little pup didn't really get the whole ball thing until she got swept up into his happy chasing game. At first she'd just run alongside him not so sure what was happening except it was FUN... then she started picking up stray balls and eventually after watching Jeffrey do this a gazillion times delivered it to a human pal!!  Double the fun! Its impossible not to get swept up in this wonderfully happy, wildly entertaining activity!! Jeffrey likes to squish the "Planet Dog Balls" he apparently gets great pleasure biting down on it... this makes the ball kind of a gooey slippery somewhat gross toy to handle BUT the game must go on! Jeffreys tongue at times very nearly hangs to the ground as you will see in some of the photos!

  This happy, playful guy is lovely on the leash, always checking back looking at his handler with a tongue out smile that shows just how delighted he is to be with you! He is a very good boy on a long lead walk exploring new areas and new scents in familiar areas.. He likes going into the woods behind the farm and having freedom to move about and around you.. polite always.. comes when called and cares about being WITH you and sharing the experience!

​  Jeffrey is smart and loves to work and train and picks things up super fast! He knows to heel nicely at your left side and automatically sit when you stop in place. Jeff thrives in partnership whether that's doing agility, playing fetch, learning new skills or casually hiking in the woods, he is happiest when he is in company. 

   After playtime, exercise or enrichment Jeff deeply relaxes! He enjoys lounging in a sun spot on the floor ..  at times gaze out the window doors. When someone walks by he’ll wag his tail, maybe get up to get a better look as who is around. And then eventually settle back down again. So peaceful! ​

   He has been a wonderful pal to our shy little girl Roxie..  being with him and running alongside him as he chases after his ball.. back and forth gave her a confidence and ability to trust a good time to stay that way...  then one day she started chasing after her own ball (The Planet Dog yellow happy face ball.. every dog seems to have a favorite!) seeing her shed what once was a crippling fear and enter Jeffreys devil may care bubble of play has been so rewarding and makes us all really appreciate all the cool things about JEFF!! His focus keeps him from being distracted by new sounds or unfamiliar people and that has been so helpful for Roxie.. she tends to panic at such things but being with him and listening to Raffi songs convinces her theres no reason to pay mind to those scary unfamiliar distractions! ​
