Perfect, precious and oh so sweet Kipper is a once in a lifetime kind of dog. Lowkey energy, super friendly with everyone she meets with a hint of practical caution… Kipper checks all the boxes for a wonderfully charming companion. She has gorgeous black and white split face markings that is pretty rare for her potential breed mix along with an adorable pittie petite body.
When first meeting you Kipper will humbly make herself small, curl into your body with a low tail wag and rest her head against yours. She may prop her two front legs up on your shoulders to get closer to you, too. You can’t help but call deeply in love with her gentle nature and the warm kindness that flows all around her. Similar to her buddy Biscuit, the first few walks around the farm property were a bit scary for Kip. She sometimes “pancakes” when her surroundings become too overwhelming. When this happens, we sit with her, use food to change the channel and give her seem motivating words of encouragement. That, along with walking with a doggie buddy, usually does the trick to get her up and moving forward. With each passing day Kipper has grown more comfortable in her new environment and subsequently the pancakes happen less frequently. We are continuing to slowly bring her into new situations that will help build her confidence.
Kipper adores other dogs. She has become quite the hit lady around the rescue quickly becoming friends with all of our “big boys” including Mickey, Brown, Jeff and Brady! She has a wonderful, inviting play style that is a hit with a lot of our dogs. We make sure not to put her in situations with dogs that may be a bit overbearing though. We don’t want to take advantage of her sweetness!
Kipper showers us with affection every chance she gets however she isn’t too much with it. This isn’t a girl who’s going to lick your face off non-stop.. she will climb into your lap looking for some loving and enjoy closeness with you over and over again. Kip loves to go for walks and be outside but she’s also down for couch cuddle time. If you’re looking for a medium sized pint of perfection, Kipper is your girl!
