The Love Dogs Team

Picture
Jamie
Jamie has been the Manager and Dog Trainer here at Love Dogs for about 9 years and for over 11 years Jamie has been working with dogs and their owners all over Westchester County. Jamie is dedicated to helping dogs and their people build relationships based on trust and understanding. She has a calm energy when working with dogs and comfortable, "family" like feel when working with her clients and adopters. Having experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes and quirky nature, Jamie has built a massive tool box and is passionate about sharing everything she has learned, and continues to learn, with anyone who wants enrich their dog knowledge.

Jamie's main focus is working with rescue dogs, exploring different aspects of dog sports, private in home training and helping to place shelter dogs with veterans with Pet for Vets. Jamie is a new mom to her baby boy Keaton and has a full fur family, dogs Sage (FLOD alum), Cali and Mollie (FLOD alum) with Munchkin the kitty!

Michelle
Michelle is the reason everything here at Love Dogs runs smoothly! She is our Administrative Coordinator Extraordinaire! From handling all of the front line communications to fosters, adopters and our veterinarians, Michelle also oversees the medical and wellness programs for all of the dogs as well as behind the scenes paperwork necessary for all things Love Dogs! Michelle has a dedication to the job that is purely astounding. She sees each dog as an individual and will treat them as such. Michelle is kind, caring and opens her heart to every person and dog that comes through Love Dogs. We don't know what we would do without our dear Michelle!

At home, Michelle is a hands on wife and mother of three beautiful children. She also has her lovely pack consisting of Margo, Luna, Max and FLOD alum Rosie with kitties Ace, Cleo and Amalie <3

Za
Learning how to be fully present and communicate with animals, be they horses or dogs, has been one of the greatest joys of my life. To have the power to save animals from painful, and often dire circumstances is a gift in and of itself, but to then have the know how and ability to engender trust & affection through communication with those animals is a profoundly moving experience!

The richness and depth of understanding and connection that is possible between humans & animals is limitless..  I am truly blessed.

Deb
Deb has been working in animal rescue for over 20 years, from city-run to private shelters, but this is her best gig ever. She has been a kennel cleaner, dog walker, adoption counselor, vet assistant, enrichment team member, transporter, Board member. She believes deeply in the power of dogs, and has strived to incorporate living in the here and now, as they do, into her varied pursuits. Dogs have healed, taught, embarrassed, frustrated, emboldened, energized, challenged, and cracked her up. They have simultaneously broken her heart and loved her more than she thought possible. Deb is known to her canine friends as a treat dispenser. She'd also like them to know that she is a poetryu writer and bicyclist. Deb lives in Manhattan with 3 littles and a human partner who does a lot of compromising, as Deb can be difficult to understand if you're not a dog.

Nick
Nick left climbing the corporate ladder to run with the dogs and hasn't looked back! He has been working with dogs for 2+ yrs but has been successfully handling dogs for over a decade. Nick has an incredible calm energy when interacting with dogs. Even the most untrusting of canines will find comfort and safety around Nick!

Even when he's not working with dogs he's with his own - Harley (a Love Dogs alum) - and his loved ones either enjoying the outdoors or kicking back for a lazy day at home.

Morgan
Morgan initially began her career in the medical field, though after realizing how much she preferred working with animals over people, she chose to pursue caring for them instead. Morgan has prior experience handling wolves and working in conservation. Helping any animal is what drives her and that is what brought her to For The Love of Dogs.

She is a proud dog mom of three amazing pups: Henry, Rosie and Jacob! When Morgan isn’t at work, you can find her hiking the trails with her dogs, cooking a delicious vegetarian meal or relaxing at home enjoying a glass of wine.
