Madeline
happy-go-lucky wiggly husky mix / female / abt 1.5 y o / 47 lbs
Madeline.. is PURE JOY. Seriously, she smiles and wiggles everywhere she goes! Maddie came off the transport van with glee ready to take on her new life chapter. She made her rounds to each person that was eagerly waiting around the van.. no hesitation or concern.. she HAD to let each of us know how HAPPY she was to be here! With her loose lanky husky type body and mannerisms Maddie stole everyone's heart at first sight. Sometimes you’ll hear her “talk” and howl which is very true to the husky breed. Watching her run is a thing of beauty with her long, graceful strides. If you are a husky lover (or not!!), guaranteed you’ll love this girl.
The first group walk around the farm can be a scary time for some new dogs.. but not for Maddie! Her first group walk, photographed below in her slideshow, was another lovely experience shared with a few other friendly Love Dogs dogs. Maddie welcomed them in her space with play bows and polite, inviting doggy communication signals. She has already made a bunch of doggy friends. Although we aren’t sure where Madeline came from, it’s clear she was well socialized.
Maddie would do best in a home prepared to give her the love, attention and exercise she deserves! She enjoys ball playing and romps with other dogs as well as hikes and long walks. Maddie is fabulous on a leash, very soft and rarely pulls. Even walking through the barn where the horses are Maddie was cool as a cucumber. She stayed right by my side, every so often venturing off path to investigate an interesting scent trail. When a horse popped its head out she didn't panic, she simply perked up and collected next to me. Meeting new people is a highlight for Maddie.. she can't get enough attention! It is almost like Madeline has been sprinkled with fairy dust.. she's absolutely dreamy!!!
