Opal
female / 4-5 y o / 11 lbs

*Olive has been adopted with her buddy Gnocchi! Opal is still up for adotion and totally okay being an only dog or living with another dog -- she adapts much more easily then Olive!
Opal and Olive are two darling little chihuahuas that are itty bitty in size but great in personality! Opal is an ultra lap dogs but she also enjoy the outdoors and craves human companionship! New people that tower over her can be a bit scary in her eyes (of course look how teeny she is! a human must look so big from that angle!!) So we make sure to take out time with her as they get to know us and trust our movements.
Opal is the more voluptuous of the two with a beautifully thick mostly white with bits of greyish brown coat. Opal is a wise and patient lady. As i write this while eating my lunch at the computer, she's calmly sitting in the middle of the room watching me... her tail slowly wagging from one side to the other just hanging out until the next move! She is very content chilling with good company and she doesn't require a whole lot. Of course, in true chihuahua fashion, she is excellent at letting us know if there is an intruder.. or if she thinks there's one! Usually it is Olive that will ring the first alarm in the form of raspy, adorable chi barks and precious howls but Opal will certainly let that intruder know she is present! Olive sometimes makes difference noises when she wants your attention.. the closest thing i can compare it to is a whispering quack (from a duck!) It's hilarious!
The coolest thing about Opal is her obsession with toys and fetch! It's not everyday you get a chihuahua that is so engaged and eager to play as she! Many of her pictures capture the absolute joy in her eyes during a game of fetch.. So unique and fun. She really does love the outdoors and would make a great companion for someone looking for an apartment sized dog that likes to go on adventures!
They were both abandoned by their previous owners at a grooming salon down in South Carolina who was a known breeder/hoarder in the area. We are so happy to have had them in our care!! We love this darling girl!
