Sweet Patchouli is a one of a kind. When we say sweet.. we mean sweeeeeet! Just look at that chubby adorable wrinkly face of hers!! Patchouli became a LOVE DOGS doggie after trainer Jamie met her during a visit to Chester Animal Shelter in South Carolina . It took one look at Patchouli's darling puppy , concerned face hiding in the back of the kennel to recognize that she was a Love Dogs dog. After Jamie patiently and successfully coaxed her out from the kennel Patchouli came alive with this playful funny spirit!
Patchouli arrived to Love Dogs on our last transport along with fellow passengers, Elijah, Homer and Benji.. so although she has only been with us a short while we've already learned a lot about her. Chouls seems to appreciate other dogs and seeks their company.. she at first opportunity burst into play time with Elijah and Rockford! Patchouli has a soft, gentle & sensitive side which can manifest as timidity most likely stemming from her stay in the loud city shelter. Once here at the farm breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the peaceful environment Chouls snugged into me .. drank in quiet, surrendered all her concerns for cuddle time & softly laid her head in my hand when stroked her under the chin.. then her sweet baby brown, gentle eyes gazed up at mine. .. melting my heart! So precious and dreamy!
We are filling Patchouli up with positive and carefree experiences.. hikes, activities, cuddles and playtime.. she LOVES one on one attention and has loads of fun exploring the farm and surrounding woods, she is a happy little trail blazer eager for adventures. Patchouli will be completely out of her shell in no time and all on her own time ...we will allow her all the room she needs to shed her concerns and gain trust in the kindness of humans and their commitment to her well being!
Stay tuned for updates on Patchouli as she settles in!!
