Precious Peaches just arrived to Love Dogs on Saturday! She was welcomed to Love Dogs by spending some time in the living room with all of us free to roam and smell around... she was a bit confused at first but as time went on more of Peaches ridiculously comical personality showed itself! She boldly explored every inch of the room, fearlessly approaching the other dogs pens making her presence known. She hopped in our laps like we've known her forever.. promptly turning herself facing outward to get a better look at her surroundings.

She'll stop at nothing to find a comfy spot on a lap or a soft perched area! We aren't sure where she came from before finding herself at a southern shelter but I have a feeling she was in a home as she's very comfortable with people, knows where all the "spots" are to bark at people passing by and was totally familiar with the sound of food being unpacked from paper bags! She was right underfoot waiting for some table food to drop like it was her job!

Peaches was not keen on hanging out with other dogs nor was she happy having a leash around her neck.. but she was not afraid or overwhelmed with the outside world. In fact, she held it and peed immediately when we brought her to a yard. Maybe she lived in a home where she had free access to a yard but never took walks? We'll work on leash walking at her pace. Peach joined us while we were putting together knew beds for some of the kennels and she wouldn't stop jumping in Nick's lap or hopping up on the ottoman! Funny and persistent.. we are falling more in love with this girl every minute!!

Stay tuned for updates on sweet Peach!!
