Prescott is a knock out! Gorgeous in every way! He is sooooooooo sweet and loving and BUBBLY.. He has a charming personality and its slightly quirky in the most endearing way! He enjoys all kinds of activities, especially when toys are involved! We are convinced that Pres has Lab mixed in with greyhound because like a typical Labby-Lab he can get 3 balls, in his mouth at once!

He LOVES to be loved on. Prescott is always soft and kissy face with his friends. With new friends, given a little time to sniff and approach on his own, he very quickly softens and gives the same Prescott style sweetie-pie body wagging hello. He remembers well too. Once he makes friends he stays friends. Prescott enjoys every part of his life from pack walks to volunteer visits. He is crate and house trained and knows all basic commands. Pres enjoys kong treats and bully sticks and really EVERY element of his life!!

Prescott lives in our office apartment with our "littles" pack.. He seems to have a particular affection for the tiniest Chihuahuas!! He keeps Sade company. You will often see him snuggling up to her or crashed out at her feet on his fluffy blanket. He attends staff meetings and contributes to the calm content tone of each one! Prescott is a lovely dog in every way. He melts with attention and does his best not to overwhelm. Sometimes his zest for life just takes over his happy brain but all the same he knows his manners. He is refined, graceful and polite. When he smiles your heart glows!!

A little more about Prescott...
Greeting Style
Prescott’s greeting style is fully dependent on the person he is greeting. For someone new, he prefers the person to be neutral and fluid.. giving off playful yet balanced vibe. In this case, he would be his normal wiggly, curious self! He can be a bit insecure at times.m so if someone new is hesitant or looms over him, that would be a cause for concern for Presie. He would communicate his uncomfortableness by backing away. For people he knows... his greeting is one for the books!! He can hardly contain his excitement. Prescott wiggles, waggles, whines and gives sweet kisses while lapping up every second of love and attention you can give him!!!

Children
Presie can become easily overwhelmed and concerned with consistent, unpredictable comings and goings of people he hasn’t grown a bond with. He also has a great protective nature. We feel a home with young children will have too many uncertainties for him and that Prescott would do best in a home with a more predictable lifestyle.

Dog-Dog play style
Prescott LOVES small dogs! It’s absolutely fantastic to watch this big goofy dog turn into a soft mush when he meets one of our teeny chihuahuas. Larger, more assertive dogs tend not to mesh well with Presie. For the medium to larger dogs in size, he prefers them to be playful, easy going and typically female.

Kitties?
Prescott would much enjoy chasing a cat! He’s got a pretty pronounced prey drive. We don’t recommend Presie live with a cat!

A Walk with Prescott
Just looking at Prescott’s gorgeous frame, you will see just how muscular and in-shape he is! True to his Greyhound lineage, he has a high drive and the strength to back it up. A gentle leader is used when walking Prescott which is a head harness that is similar to a horse halter. It allows for more gentle control of the dog while on a walk. Presie generally has superb leash manners and has a lot of obedience training under his belt. However, sometimes when passing another dog that doesn’t quite flow with Prescott’s vibe, he can become reactive. Particularly with other reactive dogs or assertive males. Leash training has truly worked wonders with Presie. If he and his handler are presented with one of these scenarios while on a walk, he will often choose to follow the guidance and commands of his handler instead of reacting! Prescott loves long walks and hikes but his most favorite time is when he is at liberty off the leash in a yard playing ball!

Known Commands
Sit - Down - Stay - Come - Heel - Look - Go Home(crate) - Go to your bed - Touch - Easy(to slow down on the leash) - Place(come to my side
