Brady is probably the most un-quirky dog to be featured in Quirky Dog Corner! He is a big ole' goofy senior yellow lab who was originally surrendered by his owner along with two other dogs in the house for unknown reasons. Brady is about 70 lbs and stubborn as stubborn gets! He's got a one track mind and likes to do what he likes to do when he likes to do it! Keep reading below! We believe Brady to be around 8 years old, so just hitting the senior mark. He's is a strong boy for his age so during his time with us we really honed in on some attention and leash manners skills! For his training capacity, Brady does well in training and will listen to given commands. Like I said, he is quite set in his ways though so it certainly takes a lot of positive reinforcement and consistency to get this training to stick. Let's just say, he'd rather run about a fenced in yard free from a leash then train LOL!
Brady has grown to be quite connected and loving to his handlers and new comers. He will sit right in front of you and "love gaze" into your soul! If you're sitting at the table to desk, he will try to climb into your lap! That's how affectionate he is! One of the coolest things we figured out about Brady was his protective instinct when needed. He has a "thing" for delivery men especially! When he hears the delivery truck he will alert with a deep and solid bark to ward off any intruding. We love this about Brady.. and we know somewhere out there will love having a protective dog in their house, too! Brady is too good of a dog to have been here for as long as he has! Laid back, head strong, super loyal and sturdy boy... someone will be lucky to have him in their home!!
