Sundae!

Sundae is a marvelous, sweet and super duper laid back girl. When out for a walk, she’s right at your side in step with you. If you ask her to look or sit, she’ll happily comply! Eager to please, she is! Sundae has NEVER had a accident in the house and you’ll often find her snoozing the day away on her giant bean bag! Sundae is so affectionate with her peeps, too. She just loves to be loved on
Sundae is the easiest dog in most circumstances and a little management goes a long way with her! Sundae’s main quirk is her inability to be around other dogs. Being in the presence of most other dogs stresses her out big time. She’ll whine with concern at first sight and may react by barking at them in an effort to get them to move away. Sundae used to be able to have select doggie friends. She does even have some dogs that she enjoys the company of.. hanging through the fence or going on leashed walks side by side. After an incident with another dog though, we do not allow her to be directly with other dogs.

Sundae is extremely content with her life at the rescue. She loves her routines and all the attention and exercise her handlers give her. We know Sundae would make a wonderful pet to the right home willing to manage her interactions with other dogs. This unique, awesome girl is SO WORTH IT!

    Quirky Dogs

Right now is a particularly bad time for shelters across America. As we predicted, after the COVID surge of tons of people buying and adopting puppies, many of them are now being surrendered to shelters as adult dogs.

We get dozens of pleas per week of people looking to surrender their dogs and shelters asking for help so they can move dogs out for the never ending number of dogs coming in.
The only way we can help is if our dogs continue to get adopted.

We are a specialty rescue. Meaning we take dogs with quirky personalities, medical issues and dogs that are most likely to be left behind.
We have a back up of fun, amazing but certainly quirky dogs at Love Dogs. These guys and gals aren’t difficult, per say. But they do take a little extra guidance and understanding… which we are great at helping with!! We offer support before, during and after adoption to ensure everyone is being set up for success. Will you take a chance on one of our quirky dogs?
