Silky sweet little pup Roxie is having a great adventure here on the farm! She arrived to us with very little confidence and not much curiosity on hand.. UNTIL... she got with some calm, kind dog pals who helped her let go of her worries just enough to open up some of her doggie-dogginess.. initially the leash was weird for her but all seeing her friends had them and everyone was moving forward just fine.. she joined the flow and found her way in between around and under her mates while joining them in multiple sniff-a-thons!! Watching her tail unfurl from between her hind legs to its natural adorable position.. loose and swinging with a curl at the tip!!!) was cause for a lot of AWWWWWWWs from all of us!!
Roxie has been all over the farm and into the woods. She's met ponies and horses and seen tractors and mowers.. Her level curiosity is just as you'd want it to be in a young pup!! Every experience is a positive one so Roxie is now beginning to expect only good things. She enjoys how much people here understand and listen to her preferences and concerns.. guide her to be brave when its time and cut her some slack when she's really not ready!!
Its taken her a bit longer to feel as safe and connected with her people friends .. but not much!! Roxie is a fan of tasty treats and will override any reservation to accept an offer of such from anyone with a polite manner! Roxie is making some real bonds with her caretakers and is even initiating play with them! It is truly a sight to see! Stay tuned for updates!!
