A sweet sweet affectionate, gentle.. happy and playful boy Sawyer. This gentle soul will smile his way into your hearts! He needs a little more time before he truly lets go of his worries but he gets over a new fear each and every day!

Just the other day Sawyer was super confused and hesitant to go anywhere near the car with the door open. So we made the car a fun place to be! He got lots of treats.. watched our trainer Jamie go in and out of the car and one of the times that Jamie got in, he just popped in right behind her! After doing that several times he was jumping in the car on command happy as can be! That took maybe 15 - 20 mins.  However, here at Love Dogs we never rush a dog into anything. We listen to them and we let them go at their pace while shifting and molding their behavior into a positive direction. Sawyer really is a quick and eager learner!

He is now super bubbly on his walks, constantly turning around to check in with you. What a gift is it so see him so inviting and confident when just 4 weeks ago he was to afraid to walk down the street. He SMILES all the time, as you can see in his pictures! Sawyer is a  very present dog, you can count on him to clue you in on every decision he makes. Of course, many things still spook him and when that happens he may panic and try to get away. We are working on broadening his horizons.. bringing him into unfamiliar situations and working as his partner to teach him to put his trust into us and calmly soak up these new surroundings.

We are so impressed with how well he has done thus far! He is truly a special dog. As we do with all our dogs we give them as much time here at the farm as we see they need. Let us know if you are interested in Sawyer.. we will be posting updates so stay tuned for more happy developments!
