Big Life.. little girl.. big heart.. big energy.. huge brain.. fun, fun, fun... and more fun!! That is SCOUT!! She is definitely a type.. and for the one who loves a smart, agile, fearless loving life every day.. but loves you most.. SCOUT is without a doubt your special girl!! AND>>> along with all that gusto is Scouts challenge! Wheels.. anything that moves on wheels.. WHAM!!! Off she goes as if the only thing in the world between life and death is her ability to disable and or destroy the evil thing on wheels!! SERIOUSLY! Scout can go from zero to off the charts upon the sight of a bicycle whirring by!! So before you read on about all the amazing and fabulous stuff about Scout.. and there's a ton.. You really have to think if you're a person who is up for her full spectrum of intensities!!

What Scout is NOT into being is a lone couch potato..  NOT into hanging out with no job in the back yard.. she's NOT into chilling with visitors, aka possible intruders coming and going in her home.. She's simply not a dog who is a part time companion!! She's a working dog.. so that means even when you are "off duty" she is always prepared and eager to engage full on ready or not!  Scout would jump out of a tree, leap through fire or plunge into a cold lake to earn your admiration and applause but she probably wouldn't think you were serious were to direct her NOT to bark and lunge at moving bicycle, tractor, gator, or motorcycle crossing her path!!

Scout is not a candidate to live in a typical family centered community.. she a lot more rugged and ambitious! She likes ACTION and is highly interactive with energy that doesn't ever really fade but can and regularly does shift into lower gears... Scout will gladly surrender her play drive for an all in massage and lots of love gazes.. but as soon as that ends she doesnt, as many other dogs might, melt into a pool of relaxed dog.. NOPE! Scout starts looking around for the next thing!

She is very interested in being with her people! We all comment on how amazed we are how predictably she comes when called even when shes at the end of a very long lead with her nose deep in the grass! She definitely likes being together! We are reinforcing that natural response as much as we can and again.. amazed by how quickly she catches on to things! So the good news is.. she is very alert and attentive..

Scout is cute and fun .. always, always smiling ..and thinking of great ideas.. she would probably LOVE to have a job or two or three!!! She is a HOORAY GIRL... all in all the time!!

Scout has a bunch of  play mates and her play style is what you'd expect.. exuberant , bold and fast! She and Rockford are best buddies and have an absolute BLAST together.. whether they are racing around the yard in a wild chase game, lounging in the baby pools.. or mouth wrestling on the floor in the office they politely and regularly take turns being boss dog and listen very well to one another's cues ..like for example the "time-out cue".. Scout doesnt have any trouble listening and complies easily. Shes shown us she's not got anything to prove. Scout is a girl who is quite comfy in her own skin.

We think shed be AWESOME at agility or Frisbee..she is super athletic and seems fearless! Her answer to pretty much everything we ask is SURE!!!

Theres a lot to love and enjoy in this powerhouse of a dog!! Those of us who delight in that fully engaged relationship with our dogs are people who will find a dream come true with this affectionate, intelligent, athletic, brave amazingly vibrant doggie we call Scout!! The deal with SCOUT is.. she's not a fit for lots of homes but the ones that are will be in a relationship of lifetime!! You have to be her bestie and her leader always.. you must possess an active brain and body!! The reward is so HUGE but things can go sideways with Scout if she's encumbered with boredom.
