Sweet Lil' Peppermint came to us initially when she was just a puppy.. she arrived with her three sisters. Penny was and remains the smallest! They were all tiny little delicate pups that made all of us oooh and awwww. Each one was quickly adopted into loving homes and Penny went with her sister Charlotte!! It was soon discovered that Penny was actually deaf! Fast forward 4 years, little Penny was not pleased to welcome the new human baby in the home. Babies are confusing to dogs, new movements to handle and smells to decode. Penny was surely confused as to why another little being was invading on her turf! So it soon became apparent that Penny was going to be unhappy with a little baby in the mix and every one thought it was the best option for her to come back and find a home without little babies in it.
Penny is the most ridiculously fabulous, prim and proper little dog you'll ever meet. Her slim nose and bouncy, oh so soft ears are irresistible. Being that Penny is deaf, she can't hear familiar sounds coming her way so new people approaching that she can't recognize with her eyes can make her a bit nervous. She needs just a few minutes on a walk to familiarize herself with you and she'll be your best friend forever!
Penny loves to throw her head back and woooo at her most favorite people! She also loves her crate, it's her little safe spot but she also loves to sleep on TOP of the crate! If she is out in the office with us, we'll always put little bed on top of the crate and sure enough, little Penny immediately hops right up and takes a nap!
