Snoop, now known as Emmet, has grown leaps and bounds over the last year.  He has come out of his shell, and has wiggled himself right into our hearts.

He loves running around his yard and letting all the neighbors know he is there.  Emmet has even made multiple trips to his second home in Southeast Georgia, where he can’t get enough of the beach and ocean waves.  The little guy loves spending time with his brother and cousin having fun at home or at the door park.  When he isn’t playing he loves to nap on the couch or by taking up half the bed (for a little guy, he can sure stretch out).

If it wasn’t for all of the love and support provided to him and us by For the Love of Dogs and you, we may not have gotten to where we are today with a happy, bouncy, cuddle bug like Emmet

Badger--who was known by For the Love of Dogs as Hopkins--came to us billed as “our mystery boy.”
I learned about this sweet senior while checking Petfinder.com for a Pomeranian. One of my twins had asked for a rescue Pom and it was perfect, because I am always partial to seniors J

After making an appointment to meet him to see what he was like, I instantly fell in love.
He greeted me with so much joy, as if I were a long-lost friend .
After taking him for a jaunty walk on the horse farm, I knew immediately that I wanted to make him part of our lives.
I've fostered dogs for years and have never seen such love, dedication and complete competetence as I have with Jaime and Sharon.

Badger had numerous health challenges and mysteries as was billed and I was happy to fight shoulder to shoulder with Sharon to get to the bottom of them, which we happily did!
I would rate this rescue more than five stars if I could!

We cannot imagine our lives without this sweet boy. We will always love you Badger!

It is the best. We adopted our boy Ben almost 5 years ago. He is the love of my life. A sweet angel Collie baby. He is now big and strong and healthy and happy.
Thank you for bringing my Ben into my life.

I wish there was a 10 rating because 5 honestly doesn't do justice for this rescue. Besides the grounds being clean, the people are absolutely AMAZING! Jamie was the most passionate and helpful person when considering a companion for myself and my family. I went in at first for one dog, but then after carefully going through my application and talking a bit with my parents and I she decided that wasn't the right dog and picked a perfect match for us. Knowing it was a good fit, but just making sure, she wouldn't let me adopt Max the dog without him meeting my nephews first. Everything has been great. He's so lovable and he's been the missing link in my family and in my heart. If you want a reliable, supportive, and friendly rescue to adopt from, this is the place to do so!

Can't say enough good things about this rescue. This rescue group is nothing but supportive, caring, and helpful. Everyone there loves animals and is only interested in making pairings that work. They don't just try and adopt as fast as possible, and this extra time and effort is what makes them so special. We adopted twice from there. The first adoption did not work out because the dog was too scared to live in NYC. The group there was helpful, responsive and ultimately supportive of our decision to bring her back to the farm where she was subsequently adopted by another family. We regrouped, worked with them again, and found the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier with our new friend. If you are thinking of rescuing a dog, contact this group. You will not regret it.

We adopted her Harriet. We visited Harriet a bunch of times because Harriet had issues. Well the staff there worked with Harriet when we brought her home she performed and acted just like any other dog we had. The staff and the trainers are excellent all right was there over 900 days and when she came home she acted just wonderful.

We adopted our dog there last April and it's been one terrific ride. The dogs are so well cared for on a beautiful horse farm. We took Caeli back for a visit last August and she greeted everyone with love and excitement, a sure sign she was very happy there. We're very grateful to the whole team for saving her and making it possible for us to adopt her. She is a gem!

We adopted Hazel (now BB) 1.5 months ago and we love her so much! She is our perfect match all thanks to Sharon for all of her time and help. We were given so much helpful information in our folder at the time of the adoption, including a helpful book that was a life savior for our first weeks with BB! Jamie is also the most patient and kind trainer. She is always willing to answer any silly question a new fur mommy might have! We are so happy we found this wonderful rescue. They are truly the BEST! They really care about their dogs and the families interested in adopting. Their location is beautiful and you can tell the dogs are truly happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend For the Love of Dogs Rescue to all of those who are looking to adopt.

I didn't think this kind of care was possible anywhere these days. We have been up three times between my wife and I, getting to know pups and figuring out which made the most sense each time is better than the last and each time they show such love and compassion. They offer no pressure and truly care about every pup they have. There are not enough good, kind, words to share about this team.

Really wanted to give a 10. The dogs rescued by this group are truly the lucky ones. They receive top veterinary care. They have walks by kind handlers around a huge, gorgeous horse property. They are stimulated with training, and also made more adoptable. The littles stay in an office that is as comfy as your living room. All the dogs are loved by all involved. Truly loved. I had the opportunity to train and foster Samantha, a feisty blind poodle. She was adopted shortly afterwords. This is the best of the best places. I wouldn't call it a shelter. Rescue and temporary home is more like it! Love all you guys!!!!!

We adopted Chelsea (now named Josephine) in 2012 from for the love dogs rescue... They are absolutely the best, so caring about their dogs! They have checked in on her to make sure she continues to be in a loving home too. I would very highly recommend this rescue organization!

So happy I found this rescue. We adopted Beethoven which is now Biscuit. Their team takes the time to make sure they have a perfect match. They are so caring in every way. If you have questions after you bring your dog home they are there to help. Every dog that comes through this rescue is blessed to have such a great group of people to love them while they find a forever home. For the love of dogs deserves 6 stars!!!!

This rescue is one of the most professional, helpful, and fun we’ve been to! We were looking for 4+ months for the perfect dog, and we definitely found him. Jamie did an amazing job training our little guy and teaching him obedience, and left us with a ton of helpful instruction to best care for him. I just wish we came here sooner!

I permanently fostered one of their senior Dogs who had issues walking and realistically wouldn’t be able to get adopted. They spared no expense for him for the 15 months we had him. He was there almost 10 months before we fostered him so he knew the facility. As a testament to this place and how truly wonderful they are to their dogs when we eventually had to go there twice a week for treatment (about 9 months after we got him) he would get so excited when we rolled the windows down as we drove down the driveway. He truly loved it there. I really don’t know any dog that would be excited about going back to a shelter. We can try and use words to express how amazing this Rescue is but his actions says it all!!

I adopted my baby Ben from here a few years back and FTLOD is nothing short of amazing, from the staff to the location - they are amazing people who do wonderful things for some beautiful animals. Keep up the great work! Hope to adopt from you again in the future!

My wife & I came in Saturday to look at Darla and Zoey. This place is awesome and should really be the standard for adopting any animal. I really enjoyed filling out the application and working with the trainers. We had a lot of fun geting to know Zoey and are very much looking forward to our next play date this Sunday. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us!! From Bryan, Katie and Ollie !;-)

We adopted Tyrion (formerly Bentley) from this rescue in 2014. What can we say? From the moment we interacted with the staff and saw the level of care and attention that was given to each dog, we knew this was a team full of devoted and passionate people seeking to make the lives of all the dogs passing their way as happy as possible. I can't possibly say enough good things or heap enough praise on this rescue and its team.

From the moment I started the adoption process for Corkie I could tell that For The Love of Dogs truly cared for each and every one of their Love Dogs and genuinely wants each of them to go to their loving forever home. Jamie and everyone at FTLOD are amazing people and I will recommend this shelter to anyone looking to adopt a wonderful furry friend in the future! Thank you so much for making me so happy with Corkie!
