Sweet Little Woody is a wildly happy boy! Woodrow is an easy going doggie by nature. He instantly loves every person he sees and greets them with his hilarious woofing noises. Sometimes he even sounds like a cow!
Woody's Story: It took Woody a few months to truly find himself and let his hair down here at Love Dogs. He first started in the barn kennel with the bigger dogs. We found he was a bit wound up and anxious out there so we decided to move him into the office to allow him ample time and space to settle. The first few weeks of being in the office he would pace, not even look at toys, bully sticks or luscious peanut butter kongs. He would bark at the office door gate as people walked by, he lacked patience and confidence... he was still so wound up and didn't know where to begin... didn't know how to free himself.
We started to introduce more and more playful dogs, activities and focused attention his way. Slowly but surely this uptight little dog loosened up. Woody started to feel happy and playful and he sought connection with dogs and humans. He began to lay at our feet during meetings and take naps sun bathing in front of the screen door as he now calmly watched people walk by the gate. He began to settle in his crate with a bully stick, something he wouldn't even smell the first few weeks! He loosened up with other dogs too. What once was a rigid play style now turned into wiggly and hoppy... lying on his back while his best friend Pip plops around him. Every day when they come in after their yard play, they sprint about the office for 5 minutes and then immediately pass out for their mid morning snuggle fest. Woody is a new dog and is now so comfortable in his own skin! He loves and seeks out attention from us and will adorably lay his head on our laps until we show him some lovin' (which of course we always do!). This is the rewarding part of what we do! We are so happy for Woody and can't wait for adopters to come see the new and improved Woody Wood!
